Steve Francis Needs a Franchise

Steve Francis was traded draft day from the Knicks to the Portland Trail Blazers for basically Zach Randolph. Two weeks later Portland showed why they are a organization on the rise and bought out the remainder of Francis' contract. He was owed $34 million for next 2 years. Terms were not disclosed.

Francis, 30, is now considering the Rockets, Mavs, Lakers, Clippers, Heat, Hawks, Pacers, Magic, Bobcats, Spurs, Bulls, Pistons, Suns, Warriors, Bucks, Cavs, Nets, Nuggets, Celtics, Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Hornets, 76'ers, Kings, Sonics, Jazz, Raptors, Hornets and Wizards. Also the Shock, Liberty, Comets, and anywhere overseas.

By the way, has an athlete ever represented his nickname as poorly as "Stevie Franchise?" Unless it means that he tries to play for every franchise, then I would understand. Or maybe its to ruin every franchise. It also could be the exact opposite strategy Natalie at Need4Sheed talks about. You know when you call your big friend "Slim." Or on your softball team when you call the slowest guy "Wheels." Whatever it is, just hope it's not your city he comes to (ruin) play for.
