Culpepper Signs His Life Away

Because talks are slowing down between Oakland and JaMarcus Russell, the Raiders went ahead and signed Daunte Culpepper to a one year deal on Tuesday. Word is he will have every chance to earn the starting job. Him signing is actually a good thing for the rookie Russell. He now has that veteran QB that rooks need to show him the ropes. It would have been scary for Russell to start with Josh McCown and Andrew Walter teaching him the game.

However, if Daunte Culpepper starts the season, or plays at all for that matter, he is going to be absolutely murdered out there on the football field. His mobility has been shot since he blew out his knee in '05. He was sacked 21 times in 4 games last year when Miami brought him back to early. He says he is back to full form after the past 2 seasons.

All I have to say is we will see how back to form you are when your immobile ass is getting sacked left and right playing behind that shitty offensive line. That knee will not be able to keep him moving the way he is going to have to move. Especially when those shady receivers cannot get open it time for him not to get killed. It is going to be ugly. I mean I can't blame Culpepper for signing with them. He wanted a contract and no one was biting. But Oakland is the worst place for him to be. Mark my words, If Culpepper plays in at least 4 games....he will have a season ending injury. Possibly a career. He was, after all, on the cover of Madden before.
